OUR HOTEL
The Hotel Sherazade is located in a riad, once the home of wealthy merchants. Come in, sit in our traditionally cool courtyard, protected from the direct sun, and recover from an eventful old town and shopping trip, or sunbathe on our terrace and then cool off in our pool.
The Hotel Sherazade consists of two riads (once residences of wealthy merchants). These are traditional buildings, with two patios around which the rooms are grouped. Both houses were built around 100 years ago. The houses are renovated in Moroccan style and offer our guests all the amenities of a hotel.
OUR ROOMS
Our rooms are individually and comfortably furnished in a traditional style. Therefore, the images are to be understood as examples.
In the lower part you will also find our bungalows, which are located in the countryside outside of Marrakech.

You can relax in our small pool in the second courtyard every day from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Free beach towels are available at reception.

UNSERE GESCHICHTE
How it all began... (From Sabina's perspective)
In 1988, I traveled to Marrakech with my girlfriend and by Interrail. As in the stories of the Arabian Nights, I first fell in love with the country and then with my husband. We spent our first years together in Germany with the firm goal of returning to Marrakech. My husband trained to be a chef while I became a hotel manager.
The beautiful riads of Marrakech have fascinated me since my first visit to this fascinating city. So, with our professional background, what could be more obvious than converting one of these traditional houses into a hotel?
We came closer to our goal when we returned to Morocco in 1995 and in 1996 the time had come - the first riad was bought and renovated and the adventure could begin.
A riad is actually a traditional Moroccan townhouse and at that time there were almost no riads open to tourists. Most of them stayed in the modern hotels in the new town.
But the success of our project proved us right - after just a few years we were able to expand and buy the second riad next door in order to expand both houses into a large hotel.
They were turbulent years in which our two sons, Yanis and Elias, were born.
Over time, tourism in Morocco has been subject to some fluctuations, economic crisis, the Arab Spring, the pandemic and now most recently the earthquake.
Despite all the hurdles, we have made our dream come true with the Hotel Sherazade and have made it our mission to take you, our dear guests, into Sherazade's world and to invite you to discover the Orient and experience your own stories.
The signs are good, and the next generation is in the starting blocks to continue to welcome you with us.
